Mangalore, Jul 6: A cleft lip and palliative camp was organized by the Department of Public Instruction in collaboration with Vijay Charitable Trust and Highland Hospital at Bharat Scouts and Guides Bhavan in Lalbagh here on Thursday June 5.

Many people participated in the camp and availed benefits from it. The lip problems were screened by expert team led by the director of the cleft lip and palate centre in Highland Hospital Dr Naveen Rao during the camp.

President of Rotary sunrise Puneet inaugurated the camp in the morning and Dr Naveen Rao welcomed the gathering.

Speaking to the press persons Dr Rao said that Vijay Charitable trust conducts the camp every year.

He further said that the patients who did not attend the camp can always approach the hospital for treatment of cleft lip. Adults too can undergo the treatment, he added.

Dr Hussein Kunhi, Puneet, Dr Naveen Rao and BEO in-charge Dayavathi were present on the occasion.
