US House votes against Iran nuclear deal

Washington, Sep 12 (IANS): The US House of Representatives voted against a resolution backing the nuclear agreement with Iran, in a symbolic vote started by congressional Republicans who object to the deal.

The result of Friday's vote, however, would not stop President Barack Obama from implementing the international agreement, reported Xinhua news agency.

After hours of debate, the House voted 269 to 162 against the resolution.
