Udupi, Jul 3: The students of Government First Grade College in Kaup have laid siege to Mallar Village Panchayat for demanding proper water supply to the college.
The college students and the lecturers have to depend on neighbours for drinking water and toilet facilities. Hence, the women students of the college face more hardships, students alleged.
Addressing the agitators, Gram Panchayat secretary, said that the panchayat can provide water up to the tank located near the college. Connecting the tank into college is the responsibility of the college administration, he clarified.
