Mangalore, Jun 30: A protest will be held against the hike in the price of bus passes for students here, on Saturday June 30.

According to a press release a college bandh has been called by the district unit of National Students Union of India (NSUI) on June 30.

The release stated that in spite of reduction in petrol and diesel prices, private bus operators have not reduced the price of bus pass.

It further stated that even the KSRTC bus fare has gone up. The NSUI has appealed to the government to slash the bus fares.

The students will organize a rasta-rokho at Jyothi circle at 10.30 am, the release stated.
