Who makes Ronit Roy feel 'inadequate'?

Mumbai, Sep 6 (IANS): His acting skills on the small and big screens have been widely appreciated, but Ronit Roy says he feels "inadequate" whenever he sees the pool of talent on shows like "Indian Idol Junior". Inspired by the young singers, the actor plans to take up singing lessons soon.

"Look at the talent in 'Indian Idol Junior'. These children bring tears to my eyes. They make me feel so inadequate," Ronit, who is taking on the mantle as the host of reality game show "Deal Or No Deal", said here.

He said that while he already knows how to play the western flute, he is undergoing training in playing two other instruments.

"I am learning how to play the violin and the saxophone... and some day I will learn how to sing as well," said the actor, who has featured in a show as popular as "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" and "Adaalat".

His performance in movies like "Udaan" and "Ugly" has also been lauded.

Ronit has his roots in Bengal, but he speaks chaste Hindi -- in terms of usage of words as well as without letting any Bengali accent seep in.

How is his spoken Hindi so clean?

He said it is something he drew as an inspiration from veteran actor Raj Babbar.

Recalling an incident from the set of "Khatron Ke Khiladi", a 2001 film in which he starred with Raj Babbar and Mithun Chakraborty, Ronit said: "It was back then that Raj-ji had said to Mithun-da that one should have a strong command over the language that he or she works in."

That really inspired Ronit.
