Mangalore, Jun 29: Fathima Zohra, wife of Mulki Rafiq has been granted bail by the High Court in the Sukhanand Shetty murder case.

Incidentally, Mangalore second Munsif court had granted bail to Sakleshpur Salim, Attavar Abdul Aziz, Sapota Rafiq, Abdul Khader, Mulky Ashraf, Kalladka P K Ayub, on Thursday Jun 28.

Babbukatte Mohammed Nawaz, Gurpur Kabir, Kalladka Golthamajal Babachan Rahman, are under judicial custody.  Mulki Rafiq and Bullet Sudhir were killed in the police encounter. 

Case history:

Mulki BJP leader and Town Panchayat member Sukhanand Shetty was murdered by Mulki Rafiq's henchmen.   His supporters went on berserk damaging the shops in Mulki during his funeral procession.  This had give way for police firing which had left Dinesh Amin and Premanath dead.
