Chennai, Jun 28: Rajnikanth-starrer Sivaji - The Boss may be a runaway hit but has landed in a legal wrangle over its script.

Claiming to have written the story, an assistant film director Sudalai K Jayarajadevan has moved court seeking an injunction on the screening of the film, which is running to full houses since its release on June 15.

The Fifth City Civil court issued notice to Sivaji.. director Shankar and three others and posted the hearing for next week.

Jayarajadevan claimed in his petition he met Shankar's manager in 2005 and discussed the script with him and some other persons involved in the film industry.

When he later tried to contact the manager, he evaded him, Jayarajadevan alleged.

He finally managed to meet the manager and was promised a meeting with the director. The meeting did not materialise as the manager did not show up, the petition said.

The petitioner said he learnt to his surprise that his story was used for the movie Sivaji. On June 6, he contacted the director's office and was told that he was away in Canada.

Jayarajadevan claimed if the film's screening was not stopped, he would suffer irreparable loss, inconvenience and hardship and sought an injunction to restrain the screening of the movie till disposal of the suit.
