Mangalore, Jun 28: The district unit of National Students Union of India (NSUI) has urged Mangalore University to take action against colleges that are admitting more than the specified number of students.

A press release stated that some of the colleges have been taking in more than the specified number of students for courses such as BCA, BBM, BSc and others.

Though the University has clearly stated that colleges cannot increase the intake without prior permission, several colleges have been violating the rule which has caused problems to students, NSUI alleged in the release.

The University should take ample measures to set right the problem, failing which, the students will begin an agitation, the release stated.
