Mangalore, Jun 25: Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy has offered to provide Konkani text book, two note books and one pen each at free of cost to those students who opt to study Konkani as third language in schools.
Academy has embarked on this mission to encourage the students in taking up Konkani in response to the opportunity granted by state government to study Konkani as third optional language from class VI in the schools across the state, with effect from the academic year 2007-08. This mission has jointly been undertaken by Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy and Konkani Prachar Sanchalan under the guidance of the state government.
