Mangalore, Jun 25: Kavoor police have raided a residence of one Hasanabba in Shanti Nagar and seized 25 gas cylinders here on Sunday June 24.
The police, along with officials from the public food and distribution department took in to custody 21 auto kit cylinders and 4 domestic cylinders. Hasanabba was allegedly transferring the domestic gas cylinders into auto kits. According to the police he was arrested last year too wherein 47 cylinders had been taken in to custody.
Hasanabba had been using the ration cards of locals to procure domestic gas cylinders and transferring gas to auto kits.
A case has been filed at the Kavoor police station.
