Udupi, Jun 21: A workshop will be held under the joint auspices of the district legal services authority, the Kannada Development Authority, department of Kannada and culture, and the bar association on ‘Kannada in Courts’, at the court complex in Kundapur here on Sunday June 24,
This was announced by district and session judge K N Phaneendra at a press conference held here on Wednesday June 20.
He further said that the workshop basically aims at creating consciousness among the public on the usage and implementation of Kannada in the courts. A public debate will also be held in the second half of the session, he added.
Noted Advocates, journalists and writers are expected to address the workshop, he said.
President of Dakshina Kannada unit of Kannada Sahitya Parishat Pradeep Kumar Kalkura was present.
