Mangalore, Jun 11: Owing to heavy rains, thunder and lightning, the house of S Mohammad at Santoshnagar, under Munnur Gram Panchayat collapsed at 12 mid night here on Sunday, June 10.
The loss is estimated at Rs 1.15 lac. There have been no casualties reported since no was in the house when the tragedy occurred.
It drizzled slightly on Sunday evening, but the slight drizzle took a fierce form at around 8 when it was accompanied by heavy breeze and thunder. The power went off in many places for a long time and telephone lines remained cut in some areas.
