Puttur, Jun 11: Twenty persons were admitted to hospital after consuming poisonous mushroom at Urlandi near here on Sunday June 10.

The tragedy took place in one Taniappa's house at Urlandi.  They had cooked mushroom which had grown under the coconut tree in their compound on Sunday.  But soon after the meals they took ill and started vomiting.  They were soon admitted to hospital here.  All of them are recovering now.

Those who took ill and admitted to hospital are Taniappa (51), his wife Radha (44), son Prajwal (24), daughter Dhanyashree (12), Chaitra (9), his relative Sunder (34) and his wife Prema (31), their son Pavan (3) and Ammu (38).
