Bantwal, Jun 11: A programme was organized at Infant Jesus Church. Mondankap here to bid farewell to Fr Charles Saldanha, the parish priest for his valuable service to the parish and to the parishioners on Sunday June 10.
Fr Roque D’Sa, who was the administrator of the church in the absence of Fr Charles and who has now been appointed at the parish priest presided over the programme. On this occasion former secretary of parish council Herald D’Souza, former vice-president Richard Monteiro, former ward chief (gurkar) Joseph Crasta were also honored for their service to the parish.
Newly-elected members of the parish council, vice-president Ruben Frank, secretary Richard Paschal D’Souza were also honored.
Fr Arun Lobo was present too on the occasion. The programme ended with a farewell song by the parish choir.
