Mangalore, Jun 9: Grace Music Institute has organized a competition to write ‘Remix songs’ in Konkani for a new Konkani music album which is in the pipeline.

The participants can dub the popular Kannada or Hindi songs to Konkani. By using one’s creativity, one can give humorous turn to the songs. But the tune should be the original one taken from the Hindi/Kannada movie. A participant can send any number of songs.

Participants should write the lyrics on a A4 size paper and mention the tune on which they have written the lyrics on the same paper.  There is no age limit for the participants.  Even the professional musicians can take part in the competition.

The 10 best songs would be used in the forth-coming Konkani album and those whose songs will be selected would be given royalty and even attractive prizes.  The entries should reach the organizers by June 30.

Selected 10 songs would be used for the newly coming album and also given attractive prizes. The songs should reach the institute within 30th of June 2007.
