Mangalore, Jun 3: The Regional Transport Officer (RTO) and the secretary of Regional Transport Authority has directed such vehicle-owners as are planning to get liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) kits on their vehicles  to get it done only at government-authorized centres.

Addressing a media meet, the RTO said that there were three LPG refilling stations in the city. Vehicle-owners who wish to change the mode of fuel should fill form 96 of the Karnataka Motor Vehicle Act and obtain authorization for the conversion on payment of fee of Rs 50.

The authorized centres are Jelu Autogas, Pandeshwar, Rohan Car gas conversion, Kankanady, N N Autogas, Jeppu,  Arun Autogas, Ujjodi and Rex Associates, Pumpwell.
