Mangalore, Jun 2: Port police raided a lodge here and arrested three people while seizing 1.250 kg of hemp on Friday June 1.
The arrested have been identified as Satish (32), a resident of Kerala, K P Haider (22), a resident of Kanduka and Ameer Sohail (19), a resident of Ullal Bastipadu. Police are in search of another accused G D Asif, resident of Kasababengere.
The police team under the leadership of sub-inspector Kiran raided the Preeti Lodge at B B Alabi Road here, acting on a tip given by an anonymous informer and arrested the culprits who were about to sell the hemp in the city.
