Mangalore, Jun 2: Even as Ullal goes to poll, illegal activities have made their presence felt already. The police raided a warehouse in Deralakatte near here on Friday June 1 and seized beer crates worth Rs 1 lac.
District Excise Department raided the gowdown and seized the 145 crates of beer near a bar. Different brands of beer were found in the crates.
With alcohol being banned during the Ullal by-poll, it is suspected that the beer crates were hidden in the warehouse for unlawful consumption during the election activities.
