Udupi, Jun 2: The state Samskritika Kala Pratishtana in association with Kalkura Pratishtana and Sri Krishna Math will organise the maiden all-India Yakshagana Sahitya Sammelan at Rajagana here from Friday June 8 to Sunday June 10.
Speaking to press persons here on Thursday May 31, Kalkura Pratishtana president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura informed that the Sammelan will be presided over by senior Yakshagana artiste Malpe Ramadasa Samaga.
The purpose of the Sammelan is to create awareness on Yakshagana both in its art form and literature.
There will be Yakshagana performances by various artistes on the occasion, he said.
Among those present were state Samskritika Kala Pratishtana president S N Panjaje, secretary P V Parmesh and writers T S Ambuja and M L Samaga.
