Mangalore, Jun 2: Proper guidance should be given by parents to enrich the talents of children, said Karnataka Bank DGM N Upendra Prabhu here on Friday June 1.

He was speaking after inaugurating ‘Raga Rekha’ and exhibitions of art works by various artists at Prasad Art Gallery here. He also said that one needs to work hard to be an artist and the talent has to be inculcated as not all are blessed with it.

Art relieves mental stress and hence one should recognize and encouraged it, he said.

Naina Gowri a child with multi-faceted talents was honoured on the occasion by Savitri Rama Rao of the Kalaniketana Music School. 

B Dayanand of Daya School of Arts presided over the function.

Art works at the exhibition include photographs, paintings, minute sculptures and artistic flower pots which were made during a programme named ‘Varnasharadhi’ held at Tannirbavi beach recently.
