Kundapur, Jun 1: Two trucks collided with each other and were burnt on the spot at Nirugadde near Shiroor on National Highway here on Thursday May 31.
The truck that was going towards Maharastra from Mangalore carrying chemical powder collided with another truck plying from the opposite direction. The second truck was carrying iron rods to Mangalore from Goa. As a result one of the trucks hit a nearby electirc pole and caught fire owing to electric short circuit.
While the chemical powder in one truck was charred completely, the iron rods in the other truck were half burnt.
However both the drivers escaped with minor burn injuries and were admitted to a private hospital here.
The Byndoor police have registered a case in this regard.
