Mangalore, May 24: A mosque at Karnad near Mulki was attacked by some miscreants on Thursday May 24 morning, sources said.  Miscreants pelted stones at the mosque and damaged the windows.

The Noor Masjid at Karnad here is close to the road and miscreants were successful in throwing stones and fleeing from the spot easily. Owing to the stone pelting, window has been damaged and no other damage either to property or life reported.

Sources said that, no one was inside the mosque when the stone pelting took place. This is the third time that such an incident has taken place here.  Locals said that despite registering complaint with the police in the past, the latter have not been able to track down the culprits.

At the same time, police sources said that, the situation is under control and tight security has been arranged at the spot. An inquiry has been ordered and efforts are on to nab the culprits.
