Sullia, May 25: A twelve-year-old boy who had come here to attend a training programme was killed after being knocked down by a jeep at Odabai near here on Thursday May 24.

The boy has been identified as Harihara Sharma (12), a resident of Paivalike near Kasargod. He had come here to participate in Vasanta Veda seminar.  On Thursday he was crossing the road when a jeep coming from Markanja knocked him down.  As a result he sustained critical injuries and was admitted hospital here.

After initial treatment he was shifted to a private hospital in Mangalore.  But he succumbed to injuries later in the hospital.

Harihara was the son of Venkatesh Bhat, a well-known yakshagana artiste, orator and thinker pf Hiranya House in Paivalike near Kasargod.
