The deceased has been identified as Satish Nair (41), a resident of Tamil Nadu.  He was an employee with central railway.  He was on its way to city on Netravati Express train on Wednesday when the tragedy occurred.

It is said that he was standing by the foot board and was suddenly thrown out around 12 am on Wednesday.  As a result he sustained serious injuries in his head and died on the spot.

Though looks like accidental death, police have not denied possibilities of murder.  Since the incident took place in the midnight, it has been difficult to arrive at any conclusion, said sources.  However, the railway police have registered this as unnatural death case.
