Mumbai, Jul 22 (Media Release) : Deepali Pansare was pleasantly surprised when the cast of 'Chalk N Duster' threw her a surprise birthday party

Deepali Pansare shot to fame playing the titular character in Devyani celebrated her birthday with Shabana Azmi. The actress had a working birthday as she shot for her upcoming movie 'Chalk N Duster'.

Shabana and Producer Subhash Singh planned the soiree for the young actress. Shabana even insisted on delaying her iftari for the actress.

According to the sources, Shabana who fasted for Ramadan the entire day was waiting to open her fast, when Subhash told her that they should celebrate her birthday after her iftari. But, the actress flatly refused and said that they should celebrate her birthday first.

And as planned, the crew-members bought her a cake. This was the first time the actress spent her birthday on a movie set.




The movie also stars actresses Juhi Chawla, Zarina Wahab, Divya Dutta in major roles along with Jackie Shroff, Sameer Soni and Arya Babbar in pivotal roles. The movie is about teachers, the education system and the commercialization of the system in the country, and focuses on the plight of teachers.

'Chalk N Duster' is directed by Jayant Gilatar and written by Ranjeev Verma and Neetu Verma. The lyrics are penned by Javed Akhtar and the music is being composed by Sandesh Shandilya. The movie is produced by Subhash Singh.
