Mangalore, May 21: Congress has always won the Ullal constituency. Only once BJP had won this constituency. This time also voters are in favour of Congress. Hence, all the statements by deputy chief minister are far from reality, said Mallikarjun Kharge, president, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC).
Speaking at a press conference here on Monday May 21, he alleged that the JD(S) has fielded its candidate only to divide minority and secular votes. But it won’t work here, he opined.
Commenting about donating funds to maths, he said, “We are not against distributing funds to religious institutions, but the way in which the funds are donated to the maths is objectionable”. Funds should be donated through the endowment department. But Yadiyurappa has chosen maths for this purpose to realize his hidden agenda, he alleged.
Veerappa Moily, president, Central Administrative Reforms Commission, former ministers Ramanath Rai and Sagir Ahmed, MLA Abhayachandra Jain, former ZP president Mamata Gatti and DCC president Blasius D’Souza, were present at the press conference.
