Mangalore, May 21:The Artists forum of Udupi and Final touch have jointly organized “Glimpses of South Kanara,”  an exhibition of paintings by the emerging artistes of Drishya School of Art from Friday May 25 to Sunday May 27 in Bharath Mall, Bejai near here.

Dr C R Kamath will inaugurate the show at 11 am, while Matharani Mathias principal of Sarosh College of Hotel Management will be the chief guest. P Puroshotam Karanath, a well-known artist will preside over the gathering.

Demonstration by P Puroshotam Karanath on canvas will follow the function. The exhibition remains open from 10 am to 10 pm on all three days.

The artists’ forum of Udupi is a voluntary organization devoted to the cause of promotion of visual arts. This organization also aims at developing human resources in the field of arts. The forum was born out of the collective will of over 50 artists of Udupi and the surrounding areas who felt the need of pooling their inner resources and enthusiasm to culturally enrich the society through an organization set-up while pursuing their chosen arts.
