Mangalore, May 21: Expert committee under former Vice-chancellor of Hampi Kannada University M M Kalburgi has been set up to submit recommendations on publishing material available with directorate of state archives which have not been documented yet.

This was announced by Usha Suresh, director of Karnataka State Archives here on Saturday May 19.

She further informed that the state archives had documents from the last 300 years, including those connected with the British regime in Mysore, copies of records between Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan with French and material on the unification of the state.

The descriptive catalogues of a large number of documents can be accessed on the directorate’s website http://kannadasiri.kar.nic.in/archives.
