Kundapur, May 21: A middle-aged pedestrian was killed after being hit by a lorry at Tallur Junction near here on Sunday May 20.

The deceased has been identified as Narayan Poojary (50), a resident of Talllur.  He was crossing the road at Tallur Junction on Sunday when a lorry knocked him down.  The lorry was on its way to Byndoor from the town when the accident occurred.

Narayan who fell on the road, sustained critical injuries and was admitted to hospital immediately.  But he succumbed to injuries later in the evening.

The Kundapur police have registered a case in this regard.
