Udupi, May 20:  Owner of Sadhana Finance Company  has been sentenced to imprisonment until May 30 for non payment of deposit amount owed to his clients -  Chandrashekar Adiga and few others.

Although the District Consumer Forum had given their judgement in 2004 to repay Rs 2, 94,640 the amount due with 15 per cent interest and additional Rs 1000 as compensation was not received by them.

B Sadhana, Owner of the Finance Company was produced to the consumer court on Friday May 18 and President P C Gopal instructed to imprison him.

Bekal Lakshaman Nayak, Mumtaz Begam and Lawyer of consumer Shiryar Prabhakar Nayak were present during the verdict.
