Mangalore, May 19: Friday May 18 was indeed Black Friday for the district.  While the day started with a fatal accident at Padil, by afternoon 4 students had met their watery grave at Sajipa Nadu near Bantwal.  In the evening two persons were killed in two separate accidents within the city limits.

Abdul Razak (24), a resident of Kadri here was knocked down to death by a tipper at Nanthoor here on Friday evening.  He was riding his mobike when the speeding tipper rammed into his bike and knocked him down.  As a result he sustained serious injuries and died later.

Abdul was working for Choramandal Insurance for the last two months.  Earlier he was in the housing loan section of HDFC bank.  Sources said that he hailed from a middle class family and his father had passed away some years ago.  His only brother had gone abroad recently.  Abdul was living with his mother.

The Kadri police have registered the case in this regard.
