Mangalore, May 18: The Carmelite Province of Karnataka and Goa has four new priests to the order, this year.

Fr Jacob C hailing from Begur in Bangalore was ordained in his native parish by Arch Bishop Bernard Moras of Bangalore. Fr Alphonse Britto hailing from Virajpet was ordained by Thomas Varaphilly, Bishop of Mysore, while both Fr Ajith Rodrigues from Hospet parish and Fr Rowel D'Souza from Vamanjoor parish, were ordained by Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza of Mangalore, at the Infant Jesus Shrine here recently.

The last duo did their Theological studies at St Joseph Seminary here, whereas Fr Alphonse studied at Rachol seminary in Goa and Fr Rowel studied in Salvatorian Seminary, Morogoro Tanzania.

All four of them celebrated their first Eucharist at Infant Jesus Shrine on Thursday May 10, and thanked all devotees for the prayers and support they received to ascend the alter of the Lord.
