Six new faces to walk LFW winter-festive 2015 ramp


Mumbai, July 15 (IANS): Six new faces will take to the ramp as models at the forthcoming winter-festive 2015 edition of Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW).

Ashanti Singh from Germany, Shreya Chaudhry from Mumbai, Madhu Sneha from Kolkata, Ivana Pesovic from Serbia, Alice Rosario from Hyderabad and Jasmeen Johal from Canada will be seen at the five-day event starting on July 15 at the Palladium Hotel here.

The six new faces were judged by juries that comprised model Sarah Jane Dias, fashion designer Neeta Lulla, fashion choreographer Anu Ahuja and Saket Dhankar, vice president and head - fashion, IMG Reliance and Purnima Lamba, Head of Innovations, Lakmé.

Over 140 aspirants participated in the model hunt.

“Models play a very crucial role in a fashion week showcase. LFW model auditions continue to unearth some of the most talented fresh faces every season, playing a vital role in curating the premier fashion platform. We have identified six promising divas that will add to the runway talent this season,” Dhankar said in a statement.

LFW Model auditions have in the past, introduced some of the most famous names in the industry like Katrina Kaif who is now a popular Bollywood actress, Yana Gupta, Mugdha Godse and Kanishtha Dhankar.
