Mangalore, May 18: Educational Institutions which have adopted a high degree of intolerance to towards ragging have now been further bolstered by Supreme Court’s orders to file FIR against those who involve in ragging in the colleges..

Over the years, educational institutions in the state as well as in the district have been quite efficient in managing this menace of ragging.  There is no leniency shown towards any perpetrators of ragging. Though many cases have not gone to the stage of registering FIR, colleges have little mercy towards the culprits.

Colleges have taken adequate steps not only to stop ragging but even to create awareness about such abhorrent practices which are a curse to students’ life.  There is talk about adopting large scale awareness programmes in the longer run in order to abolish this inhuman practice from colleges.
