Bangalore May 18: Kingfisher Airlines on 17 May announced plans to introduce Landscape Camera system onboard its flights, enabling passengers to view scenic views on-ground on their personalised screens.

The modification involves installation of two cameras near the nose landing gear on its fleet of Airbus aircraft.

The cameras, weighing about 4.5 kg each, will offer panoramic views on its in-flight entertainment systems, a Kingfisher release said.

"India is a country with a beautiful landscape and I am confident that our guests will find this service of great interest and will get a bird’s eye view of the ground the aircraft flies over,” the airline’s Executive President Hitesh Patel said in the release.

"Landscape camera is a unique service available internationally with some airlines but on the domestic circuit, Kingfisher Airlines is the first to offer this service,” the release added.
