Jul 14, (Mid-day):  Apparently, Parineeti Chopra has been approached to play Indian captain MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi Rawat's character in the upcoming biopic on the cricketer

Gossip mills have long been buzzing about a key casting in the MS Dhoni biopic — that of the Indian cricket captain's wife, Sakshi Rawat. While the names of Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor and Kriti Sanon were tossed around, our source informs us that Parineeti Chopra is the latest to have been approached for the role.

A source says, "The makers are keen to sign Pari as she is as bubbly as Dhoni's wife. Moreover, she has worked with Sushant Singh Rajput in 'Shuddh Desi Romance' and their pairing had been appreciated. So, she is high up on the makers' wishlist to be cast opposite Sushant yet again."

The biopic titled 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' will trace Dhoni's professional career and also touch upon his personal life, including his relationship with Sakshi, who was his longtime sweetheart before they tied the knot in 2012. According to sources, Sakshi's character has a substantial screen time.

Parineeti Chopra's spokesperson says, "There is no truth to this story."
