Team 'CID' shoots new murder-mystery in the capital

New Delhi, July 13 (IANS): The team of long-running investigative TV series "C.I.D" was in town to shoot for a murder mystery which took them to various destinations like Dilli Haat and Sangam Vihar.

The famous trio of ACP Pradyuman, Abhijeet and Daya, played by Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava and Dayanand Shetty, along with the rest of the team, were here to shoot for an investigation, which also took them to a metro station in Gurgaon.

"It's fun going to different locations although its equally dangerous because there are different type of people everywhere... the moment the camera comes out, every crowd acts differently. We were shooting in Sangam Vihar here but not a single person disturbed us, which is very rare. We were all zapped," said B.P Singh, who is the creator, director and producer of the show.

He also said the team wished to shoot a sequence near Jama Masjid in order to capture the essence of Ramadan, but they were not given permission by police.

Bringing some more twists to the tale, the show which airs on Sony Entertainment Television, embarked on a journey of north India for a special series - "C.I.D. Mar Miteynge."

After finishing their shoot in Delhi, the "C.I.D" team is now headed to Agra and Mathura.

Channel's programming head Ajay Bhalwankar expressed "immense pleasure" to present the "C.I.D" team to audiences in Delhi, who for the very first time, got an opportunity to meet and greet the show's popular actors.

"'C.I.D' was one of the first series in this genre that Indian viewers experienced on the television. It is one of the longest running and the most loved show on the television by the Indian viewers. We have successfully built 'C.I.D' over last 18 years in association with B.P Singh," he said.
