Mangalore, May 16: Mangalore unit of Students Islamic Organization of India (SIO) will conduct a month-long education awareness campaign from Tuesday May 15 till Friday June 15.

The motto of the programme is ‘value-based education for all’ and it will try to create awareness on education to those who are deprived of opportunities for education, said the coordinator Kasim, addressing a press meet on Monday May 14.

Kasim further said that the SIO volunteers will go from house-to-house sensitizing people on the value of education and asking them to send their children to schools.

He added that the parents’-teachers’ meeting will be organized along with rallies and career guidance camps, as part of the campaign.

Apart from this, the students who have secured good marks in SSLC and PUC will be honored on the occasion. There will also be a seminar on ‘value-based education’ in Town Hall on Monday June 25.
