Mangalore, May 16: Bharatlal Meena, the former deputy commissioner has been appointed in-charge secretary of the district by the state government.
This was announced in a press release issued by deputy commissioner Maheshwar Rao.
He is currently the managing director of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd and the chairman of electricity supply companies in Karnataka.
Bharatlal Meena’s term as deputy commissioner of the district could well be described as one of the finest phases in the history of Dakshina Kannada. His stress on developmental activities, master plan for the city, his dare-devil attitude had earned him good reputation among the people.
