Shahid-Mira's Mumbai reception a starry affair

Mumbai, Jul 13 (IANS): Newly-weds Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput were the cynosure of all eyes here at the Palladium Hotel, where a flurry of stars from Amitabh Bachchan, Anurag Kashyap and Anil Kapoor to Kangana Ranat, Sonam Kapoor and Preity Zinta attended the couple's wedding reception on Sunday night.

A live band welcomed all the guests with some groovy music at the entrance of the hotel.

Among the first guests to arrive were Shahid's mother Neelima Azeem, aunt Ratna Pathak Shah with her sons Vivaan and Imaad, Tusshar Kapoor and designer Masaba Gupta.

Others like Arjun Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Genelia Deshmukh, Sajid Nadiadwala, Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Alia Bhatt, Sonu Sood, Abbas-Mastan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Vikas Bahl and more arrived at the venue just before the couple made an entry.

Mira looked elegant in Manish Malhotra creation, and teamed it with jewels from Nirav Modi's Luminance Collection, wearing a bracelet, cascading earrings and ring. Shahid matched up with her style in a suave tuxedo with a bow.

The duo married in Delhi on July 7 in a closely guarded affair. A day before that, they danced away during a sangeet ceremony, where Shahid even went down on one knee to match steps with 21-year-old Mira.

Following their wedding, a post-nuptial celebration was held in Gurgaon, but Bollywood's glitterati was mostly missing throughout. Nevertheless, the party on Sunday seems to have made up for the lack of glitz and glamour.
