Mangalore, May 15: Congress party has ruled this country for 55 years. When Congress started ruling this country, BJP state president D V Sadanand Gowda was a still a child, said Sagir Ahmed, former minister.

He was speaking at the press conference at Congress office on Tuesday May 15.

Answering the allegations raised by D V Sadanand Gowda against Congress, he said that, even the judiciary has also said that, JD (S)-BJP coalition government is the most corrupt one. It has failed in all spheres of administration. The government is unable to provide right quantity of kerosene oil and sugar to the ration card holders and has even failed to supply electricity properly, he accused.

Congress district president Blasius D’Souza said that Ullal is the strong fortress for Congress. Along with this a lot of works have been done when U T Fareed was MLA. Present Congress candidate U T Khader has also worked hard when his father U T Fareed was sick.

“Chief minister H D Kumaraswami’s village stay would not work here since the people of Ullal are intelligent enough to know the pros and cons of this. “No one can rule out Congress win.  But surely the margin of victory is a matter of debate,” Blasius D’Souza opined.

KPCC general secretary Prem Kumar announced that, former JD (S) district president Vasant Bangera would campaign for U T Khader at Ullal. At the same time, Congress leaders present at the press conference opined that Bangera is already under the roof of Congress.

Former minister Ramanath Rai, MLA Abhayachandra Jain, former MLA Vijayakumar Shetty, U T Khader and others were present at press conference.
