Kundapur, May 15: Two brothers of Kundapur origin met watery grave while swimming in river at Teerthahally on Sunday May 13.

The deceased have been identified as Narayan and Ramchandra, sons of Ramesh, a native of Hunsemakki near here.  Ramesh has shifted his base to Teerthahally after starting his own restaurant there some 5 years ago.

Narayan was a student of first year PUC while Ramchandra was studying in II PUC.  Since they were having summer vacations these days, both of them were assisting in cooking to a local who used to take up orders for functions.

On Sunday Narayan had gone swimming after his work.  But within a few moments he was caught in deep waters.  When Ramchandra saw his brother drowning, he went to help him.  But both were caught in whirlpool and met watery grave together.

Their bodies were fished out on Monday and were brought to Hunsemakki on Monday evening.  They are survived with parents and only sister.
