Mangalore, May 14: Gold ornaments worth more than Rs 4 lac were stolen from the hand bag of a woman in a private hospital here recently.

Charles Noronha, a resident of Mumbai had been admitted to a private hospital here for treatment on Saturday May 5. His wife Sunitha was staying in the hospital to take care of her husband. On Friday May 11 she had slept in the hospital room.  She had kept her ornaments, PAN card, Motorola mobile handsets and other necessary documents in her hand bag while sleeping.

But when she woke up next morning, her bag was missing from the place. Four gold bangles or 10 grams, a chain of 25 grams, another 20 gram chain and five gold rings.  Her railway pass, driving licence are also among the things that have been stolen.

A complaint has been filed with the Kadri police in this regard.
