Mangalore, May 14: AHINDA made a surprise visit to three private colleges and a government college, at Balmatta near here on Saturday May 12, on the complaints that the PU Colleges in the district are breaking rules made by pre- university education board with regard to admissions to I PUC and providing admissions to I PUC students as per their desire.

It was found that all the colleges had ignored the guidelines and timetable provided by pre-university education board. As per the rules, colleges had to publish the merit list of the selected students within the fixed time. Some colleges had published the list, but it was different from the guidelines of the pre-university education board.

They had recommended the deputy commissioner to initiate action into the irregularities in the pre-university admission in Mangalore by presenting memorandum recently, said Ahinda leader speaking to the presspersons.

He added that if the colleges would not follow the guidelines, then they would initiate an intense agitation.
