Mangalore, May 14: A daytime international flight operation began at Bajpe (Mangalore) Airport from Sunday May 13.

Till Saturday, international flights were operating from the airport during the night.

According to M R Vasudeva, director, Mangalore Airport, an Air India Express flight arrived here from Doha via Bahrain at 3.45 p.m. and took off for Doha at 5.30 p.m. to reach Bahrain later.

Doha-Bahrain-Mangalore and Mangalore-Doha-Bahrain flight operates twice in a week — on Sundays and Tuesdays.

The flights were earlier arriving at 9.50 p.m. and departing at 10.50 p.m. From now onwards, they will arrive at 3.45 p.m. and depart at 4.30 p.m., Mr. Vasudeva said.

However, he said that Mangalore-Dubai and Mangalore-Muscat-Abu Dhabi flights will operate during night only, he said. Their timings will not be changed for the time-being.

Mangalore-Dubai flight would arrive at 7.10 p.m. and depart at 8.10 p.m.

Muscat-Abu Dhabi-Mangalore and Mangalore-Abu Dhabi-Muscat flight would arrive at 9.50 p.m. and depart at 10.50 p.m., he said.
