Mangalore, May 13: S H Abubakar, owner of Five Star Bidis, died on Sunday May 13 at 5 pm, of injuries sustained in a road accident earlier during the day.
The accident had occurred around noon on N H 48 near Kannur. Sources said that Abubakkar was riding a bike with his wife and child. A lorry, approaching from the opposite direction, hit his bike and Abubakar was severely injured.
Immediately he was rushed to a hospital in the city. But he succumbed to the injuries in the evening.
Abubakkars’ wife and child have sustained minor injuries, sources said.
Abubakkar is survived by wife, four daughters and five sons. A case has been registered at Kankanady Rural police station.
