Mangalore, May 13: There is specific treatment for all illnesses but most of them are beyond the reach of common man said Medical Education Minister Dr V S Acharya here on Saturday May 12.

Speaking at the inaugural function of 25 Karnataka State conference of the Association of Otolaryngology’s of India, he urged the Medical fraternity to manage technology in a way that the cost of treatment is affordable for common man. He said that most illnesses can be diagnosed by proper clinical examination, it is not right to depend on the technology so time and money of the patient will be saved. 

He urged the doctors to give more importance to preventive aspects as responsible professionals.

A souvenir of the conference was released by chairman of the souvenir committee Dr Vishnu Kaniyur. Head of the Department of Otoneurology of Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai Dr K P Morwani presided over the function.

Organizing committee chairman Dr Mahesh Chandra Hegde, treasurer Dr Kishore C Shetty and secretary Dr Sathish Bhandary were also present on this occasion.
