Mangalore, May 13: Tulu books should reach readers across the world, said litterateur and folklorist Vamana Nandavar here on Saturday May 12.

He was speaking after releasing Tulu anthology , ‘Thibile’ written by Raghu Idkidu at a programme organized jointly by the Karnataka State Tulu Sahitya Academy and Vidya Prakashana at the academy hall.

He said that it is the sole responsibility of Tulu speakers to work for the development of the language. Speaking about the book, he said there were many collections of poems in Tulu but the books of Idkidu have proved to be different from the rest, and rich in words and content.

Writer Mogalavalli Keshava Dharani was the chief guest at the programme and Karnataka State Tulu Sahitya Academy president M K Seetharam Kulal presided over the function.
