Mangalore, May 12: “Kankanady police have behaved badly with me, they even not provided me lunch,” said Gracy Pais, here at Press Conference on Saturday May 11.

She said that a case regarding a property at Simon Lane near Angelore is in the court. But police have interfered in it and harassed her mother and herself, Gracy Pais said.

Gracy Pais, basically from Mudigere taluk of Chikamaglur district, married Felix Lobo 8 years ago. But she lost her husband in November 2005.  After the death of her husband she continued to stay at her mother-in-laws' house. However, of late one Molly Saldanha and Gasper Saldanha, distant relatives of her mother-in-law are trying to grab her property, she alleged.

“Molly Saldanha and Gasper Saldanha have already encroached the property belonging to my mother-in-law by creating forged records. Now they are using police force to send out me from that property,” Gracy Pais accused.

Gracy Pais also said that when she was in the jail as per the complaint lodged by Molly Saldanha and Gasper Saldanha, along with her son and mother, Kankanady police removed the tiles of the house where she was staying. They also damaged the walls of the house. When the matter was brought to the notice of B Dayananda, SP of Dakshina Kannada, SP also has not responded positively, she said.

JD (U) leader John Francis D’Souza was present at press conference.
