Jason Segel eyes serious role

Los Angeles, Jul 6 (IANS): Actor Jason Segel, mostly known for his comedy work, wants to do something that moves him.

"I was ready to live off-campus. Get off the hamster wheel," said Segel, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The "Sex Tape" star takes on his most serious role to date in his upcoming film "The End of the Tour", in which he plays writer David Foster Wallace.

"I wanted to do something that moved me," Segel told Vogue magazine.

The "This Is 40" star had earlier said that he is not in a hurry to settle down, but says he would marry quickly if he felt he had met the right person.

"For me, it's much more about meeting the right person. I don't have that thing that women have -- 'I've gotta be married by the time I'm 33, gotta have a kid by the time I'm 35'. Let's see where life takes me, y'know? If I met the girl, I'd marry her tomorrow," he said.
